Burlesque Immersion Chair-isma with Juniper Fizz Mondays, 7:00–8:25 PM Price: $250 Includes: 7 weeks of instruction + Student Spotlight Showcase Series: Sept 7 – Oct 19 Dress Rehearsal: Dec 13 Student Spotlight Showcase: Jan 10 Chair-isma is a sensual chair class geared towards beginners. In addition to conditioning and drills for chair moves, this class is all about intentional movement, harnessing sexual prowess, and projecting confidence. We will work on the building blocks of tricks, the power of touch and eye contact and have fun getting slinky. Sexy outfits encouraged, but not required! This class will be a hybrid pop-in and intensive with a 20 minute warm up, 30 minutes dedicated to 1 new trick each week and putting that trick in context with a 30-45 sec choreography as a pop in optional, the last 30 minutes will be for the intensive series routine followed by a cool down. Learning Outcomes: •Learn one (1) choreographed routine. •Learn to evaluate movement skills in terms of space, time, and force, and reproduce accurately through your own body. •Learn beginner chair choreography and tricks What to Bring: •Dance heels, Salsa boots, platform dance heels/boots •Other acceptable footwear includes jazz flats, dance sneakers or barefoot. •Kneepads •Water *This Intensive is not part of the requirement for the Atlanta Burlesque Academy Graduation Track.
