Liquid (In) Motion™ with Zara Estelle 6-Week Series | July 12–August 16 Sundays • 8:15–10:00 PM Tuition: $180 Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, August 20 Student Showcase: Sunday, August 30 In Liquid Motion, the focus is on moving past rigid counts and stiff transitions to embrace a more fluid, organic style of dance. Led by certified instructor Zara Estelle, this class utilizes the foundational principles of the Liquid Motion® methodology to help dancers transform their floorwork into one seamless, melting, honey-like flow. Rather than simply memorizing choreography, students will explore the mechanics of their own bodies to create a "boneless" and effortless aesthetic. The curriculum emphasizes intentionality, the activation of the senses, and total body awareness. By understanding how the body naturally moves, dancers can navigate the floor with newfound confidence and grace. This class serves as a "sneaky" full-body floor workout that builds significant strength and mobility. It is a sensual practice designed to help students feel divine through a deep, mindful connection to movement. Class Structure -Warm-up focused preparation of the joints and muscles to ensure the body is "floor-ready." -Technical drills designed to master the art of the slide and the science of the "ooze" -A creative, fluid sequence that ties the techniques together into a continuous movement exploration. -The final segment of the class is where we tie our technical foundations together into a cohesive, captivating routine. Over the course of the session, students will learn a choreographed piece, this is an opportunity to move beyond individual drills and explore storytelling through movement. What to Bring Kneepads Layers: It is best to keep arms and legs covered to manage friction against the floor Comfortable movement attire underneath to adjust as the body warms up Socks: Recommended to facilitate a liquid glide About Us: Atlanta Creative Arts (ACA) is an inclusive creative hub for intentional movement and artistic expression. We provide instruction designed to meet students where they are, help students build technical confidence, find their voice, and take up space. We believe that the arts should be a reflection of the people who create them. ACA serves as a sanctuary for sovereignty and expression, where we dismantle barriers to entry by fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
