Burlesque Intensive: Twerlesque™ Hip-Hop Exotic Dance with Jantina Tuesdays, 8:30-10:00 PM No Class: 9/29 Price: $250 Includes: 7 weeks of instruction + Student Spotlight Showcase Series 1: Sept 8 – Oct 27 No Class: 9/29 Dress Rehearsal: Dec 13 Student Spotlight Showcase: Jan 10 Learn how to Shake and Shimmy like a Burlesque Performer and Twerk like a Video Vixen. Twerlesque™ is a dance class that blends several styles into one performance-focused experience! • Twerk: Emphasizes hip isolations, glute engagement, rhythmic movement, and lower-body strength. • Burlesque: Incorporates theatricality, confidence, expressive posing, musicality, and playful performance elements. It doesn't necessarily involve stripping; many classes focus on stage presence and self-expression. • Hip-hop: Adds urban choreography, grooves, musicality, and dynamic movement. Exotic dance: Pole dance and heels choreography, featuring fluid floorwork, sensual movement, and techniques for dancing in heels (pole is optional). Learning Outcomes: • Warm-up and mobility exercises. • Instruction in foundational movements from each style. • A choreographed routine combining twerking, hip-hop, burlesque, and exotic dance elements. *This Intensive is not part of the requirement for the Atlanta Burlesque Academy Graduation Track.
