Crafting Intensive: Mask Making with AG Trodglen Sundays, 1:30–3:30 PM Price: $200 Includes: 4 weeks of instruction Series: Sept 27 – Oct 18 Masks are a tremendous way of expressing who we feel we are, who we are, and who we want to be. Using a basic latex mask, we add paint, beads, fabric and faux fur, as well as ribbons, sequins, feathers, broken jewelry. The masks may be painted at any time. Some masks may even be mounted on board so ask to be hung like wall decorations or taxidermy! Fantasy creatures welcome! Additions and subtractions welcome! Atlanta Creative Arts will be supplying the art supplies so all you need to bring is your creativity! In the spirit of sustainability, we’re keeping this class eco-friendly through a reduce, reuse, and recycle approach. If you have a specific latex mask or personal embellishments you’d love to upcycle, feel free to bring them along! About AG: AG has studied Art History, Drawing and Painting at Emory University, Wasa Gymnasium in Vienna, Georgia State University, and Indiana University at South Bend; she has 3 degrees in anatomy and holistic healing from the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts. She taught pastels charcoal and ink at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center from 2015-2025. She interned at the then Nexus Contemporary Arts Center Art Press. (Now the Contemporary). She drew dog portraits at Frogs to Dogs groomers and Taj Ma Hound Bakery for Dogs, and at AKC sporting and confirmation events from 2000-2020. She has worked at Ansley Animal Clinic, Dearborn Animal Hospital, and Northside Drive Pet Hospital as well as stewarding at Obedience and Rally Events for the American Kennel Club. She was mentored privately by artist and musician Daniel Johnston (4 years), artist and musician Jad Fair (1989- to Present, illustrator Tony Millionaire (2years) and painter Shijun Munns (1 year). She is the author and illustrator of many children’s books. She is particularly known for her whimsical dog illustrations. About Us: Atlanta Creative Arts (ACA) is an inclusive creative hub for intentional movement and artistic expression. We provide instruction designed to meet students where they are, help students build technical confidence, find their voice, and take up space.
